Why Bankrupt BlockFi Sues Sam Bankman-Fried?

BlockFi, that filed for bankruptcy protection, sued FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried's Emergent Fidelity Technologies for Robinhood (HOOD) shares it held.

According to the complaint, an agreement was reached on November 9 between BlockFi and Emergent Fidelity Technologies to guarantee payment by a named borrower, using named common stock as collateral.

The legal correspondence cited by the FT reported that Bankman-Fried was the borrower.

FT cited, Bankman-Fried was still trying to sell his Robinhood shares after entering into the collateral agreement with BlockFi, despite trying to raise money before FTX's collapse.
