Later, the Bahamian news agency shared another post, stating that its sources now said that Sam Bankman-Fried was at the Department of Corrections and not in the hospital.
Later, Bahamas Press corrected itself, explaining that it was a high-ranking police officer at the hospital. The reason also justified the presence of police vehicles at the scene.
