Zebec Network has launched ZebecNET, a data-only eSIM network built with World Mobile, aimed at preventing connectivity failures that can interrupt payroll access, payments, and card usage for globally distributed workers. The service is now open for registration and is designed specifically for users operating within the Zebec ecosystem.

The launch links Zebec’s payroll and payments infrastructure with a dedicated connectivity layer, addressing a common operational risk in cross-border payroll: loss of mobile data access during wage approvals, wallet logins, or card transactions.

Unlike traditional payroll systems, crypto-native payroll relies on continuous internet access for wallet authentication, transaction signing, and compliance checks. Connectivity gaps can delay salary access, block card usage, or disrupt real-time payment streams, particularly for contractors and remote teams operating across borders.

ZebecNET aims to reduce those risks by removing reliance on local mobile networks and roaming agreements, which is unreliable or inconsistent in certain regions.

Service Runs on World Mobile’s Telecom Network

ZebecNET runs on World Mobile’s decentralized telecommunications infrastructure. World Mobile reports more than 2.17 million daily active users and 140,000 community members across its network, with coverage spanning 70+ countries. Zebec said the partnership allows it to extend reliable data access to regions where traditional mobile connectivity can disrupt payroll and payment workflows.

The eSIM integrates directly with Zebec’s payroll and payments stack, supporting access to streaming payroll, wallets, and Zebec-issued cards, including Silver, Carbon, and World Mobile cards. Cardholders can spend funds anywhere Mastercard is accepted, according to the company.

ZebecNET prioritizes financial transactions and wallet access over general consumer mobile use. The company positions the service as an infrastructure layer rather than a standalone telecom product.

Zebec described ZebecNET as a network built exclusively for its ecosystem, rather than a standalone mobile offering. The company said the service will evolve alongside its broader SuperApp rollout, which aims to unify payroll, payments, and card services.

Zebec said the network does not replace traditional voice or SMS services. Instead, it supports payroll access, payments, and card usage within the Zebec platform.

Zebec first announced the partnership with World Mobile in August and indicated a phased rollout through Fall 2025. The company did not disclose pricing details or data limits at launch.
