Is Dogwifhat (WIF) Memecoin Gaining a Binance Listing?

The WIF Binance Romance Was a Hype

The speculation started with a seemingly innocent tweet from the Binance exchange featuring a Binance hat on top of a cocoa tree with the caption, “This tree just went from a 5 to a 10/10.” WHY would WIF fans assume it has anything to do with Dodwifhat? No clue, but assume they did.”

Then the comment section took it to the next level, assuming a WIF Binance listing is around the corner.

While Binance has listed nonsense memecoins in the past, the exchange has NOT commented on a possible WIF listing. As of Dec 28, Solana-native Raydium and Orca are responsible for half of all WIF trading against SOL.

WIF Price is Down Halved in a Week

When it comes to memecoins, no one can dare to assume they won’t be successful because of their nonsense nature. Just look at the absurd rallies of PEPE, Shiba Inu (SHIB), or grandpa Dogecoin (DOGE). Dogwifhat, conversely, didn’t have a stellar introduction just yet. Moreover, the token traded 55% below its $0.35 peak on Dec 22 and reached $0.15 on Dec. 28.

Additionally, according to CoinMarketCap, the WIF Binance hype did nothing to raise the token’s price on Dec 28. On the contrary, the price fell 7% in the previous 24 hours, accompanied by a trading cool-off of 16%. The latter could indicate growing disinterest in WIF. However, the upcoming sessions will show if the team is able to create a hype of necessary proportions to promote the memecoin.
