MemeFi Shifts from Ethereum’s Linea to Sui Blockchain for Token Airdrop

YEREVAN (CoinChapter.com) — MemeFi, a popular tap-to-earn game on Telegram, has shifted to the Sui blockchain just weeks before its token airdrop. Originally, developers planned to launch on Ethereum’s Linea, a Layer-2 scaling solution. However, they now confirm that the game will deploy on Sui’s Layer-1 network instead.

The MemeFi team partnered with Mysten Labs, the creator of Sui, to make this transition. According to the developers, Sui’s network offers a low-cost transaction system that will improve the gaming experience. This move, they say, will provide users with smoother, faster transactions on Telegram.

adding that the transition would let users experience Sui’s speed, affordability, and smooth performance. This integration is part of a larger plan to make Sui a central blockchain for future gaming projects on Telegram.

MEMEFI Token Scheduled for November 12 Release

The MEMEFI token will officially launch on Nov. 12 through an on-chain claim process, following a snapshot of player activity on Nov. 6. Previously scheduled for Oct. 9, the launch was postponed, with developers emphasizing that the new date aligns with operational adjustments following the decision to move to Sui. This blockchain shift allows MemeFi to use Sui’s infrastructure, enhancing the token’s accessibility and transaction efficiency for Telegram users.

Developers will update players on Nov. 8 with final allocation data, giving eligible participants a chance to review allocations based on their game activity. MemeFi has set up an early access option via the OKX Wallet for users to preview allocations based on partial data.

OKX Introduces Pre-Market Trading for MEMEFI Token

With the Sui blockchain integration, OKX has also opened pre-market trading for the MEMEFI token on its platform, allowing traders to engage with the token before the general launch. In addition, OKX’s involvement provides MEMEFI with an initial trading avenue and a preview of potential market reception. This pre-market trading feature enables traders to gauge MEMEFI’s value on the Sui blockchain and make informed decisions regarding the token.
