YEREVAN (CoinChapter.com) — French authorities have suspended judicial control over Pavel Durov from March 15 to April 7, according to TASS. This suspension temporarily pauses legal proceedings, court hearings, and enforcement of any court decisions. Sources from the French prosecutor’s office confirmed the decision, allowing the Telegram founder to leave France.

On March 17, Durov announced on Telegram that he had returned to Dubai after spending months in France. He stated that the legal process is still ongoing but mentioned that it “feels great to be home.”

Reports from March 15 indicated that Pavel Durov received approval from a French court to leave the country. His detention stemmed from an August 24 investigation into Telegram, with authorities alleging the platform facilitated illegal activities.

Upon his return, Durov shared a Telegram post, expressing gratitude to the judges for allowing him to leave. He also thanked his legal team and colleagues, emphasizing that Telegram had always followed legal requirements.

“I want to thank the investigative judges for letting this happen, as well as my lawyers and team for their relentless efforts in demonstrating that, when it comes to moderation, cooperation, and fighting crime, for years, Telegram not only met but exceeded its legal obligations,”

Durov wrote.
