Shiba Inu (SHIB) Coin Community Alerted as Clipper Malware Spreads Rapidly

The Shiba Inu community has been warned of a growing threat posed by Clipper malware. This malicious software targets cryptocurrency transactions by intercepting and altering copied wallet addresses and redirecting funds to the attacker’s account.

The ShibArmy Scam Alerts, an account focused on scam prevention in the Shiba Inu ecosystem, issued the alert in a tweet on Sept. 18.

First discovered in 2017, Clipper malware has made a comeback, now affecting Android and iOS devices. However, Android remains the primary target. The malware monitors users’ clipboards for copied cryptocurrency wallet addresses and replaces them with the attacker’s address.
