NAIROBI (CoinChapter.com) — The Grass Token airdrop is entering its final phase, with participants eagerly awaiting the token generation event (TGE) that will convert Grass Points into GRASS tokens, just as the deadline for confirming Solana wallets looms on Sept. 2.
Since its launch, Grass crypto has offered users a way to sell their unused bandwidth, providing a fairer alternative to networks controlled by middlemen. Participants have earned Grass Points throughout several epochs, and these points will determine how many GRASS tokens they receive in the upcoming airdrop.
The Grass team recently reminded users on X to link their Solana wallets by Sept. 2. After this deadline, users won’t be able to change their linked wallets until after the airdrop is complete.
September GRASS Crypto Airdrop? Community Buzzes with Speculation
The Grass network has sparked speculation within the community, particularly after becoming the first Layer 2 Data Rollup, that the Grass Token Airdrop could occur in Sept.
On Aug. 31, X user @sol_nxxn pointed out that Grass Points have seen substantial trading activity, with 1 million points valued at approximately $770 on the points market as of late August, suggesting heightened interest.
Another X user pointed out on Aug. 30 that several indicators suggest a Sept airdrop, including the completion of the last epoch, recent team announcements, and the creation of a Grass Foundation account.
Similarly, @undeadcat1or0 noted that the current bonus epoch likely signals the completion of Grass’s first phase of network development.
Despite the community airdrop speculations, the Grass coin team is yet to give update on the exact date for the TGE.
Grass Network Prepares for Token Distribution
Grass has $4.5 million in backing from investors like Polychain Capital and Tribe Capital. The project focuses on using unused home internet bandwidth to support decentralized and fair AI development.
A recent $3.5 million seed round, led by Polychain Capital and Tribe Capital, follows a pre-seed round by No Limit Holdings. Additional funding from Bitscale, Big Brain, and others will enhance Grass’s infrastructure and expand its network.
Since June, Grass has converted public web data into AI datasets using a decentralized model, ensuring data transparency and fair compensation.
