NEW DELHI (CoinChapter.com) — The rapidly growing digital asset exchange Crypto.com has partnered with global payment processing platform Worldpay from FIS.

Worldpay would serve as a global validator and operator for the Crypto.org Chain, a public, open-source, and permissionless blockchain with low fees and high transaction speeds. Additionally, the Crypto.org Chain helps enable transactions globally.

In addition, Worldpay would also provide merchant acquiring services to help Crypto.com grow and expand its reach. As per the announcement, the exchange chose Worldpay for its experience in working with crypto exchanges.

Worldpay has provided innovative solutions and services to the crypto industry for the past eight years. We’re delighted to have been selected by Crypto.com to help them take cryptocurrencies to a wider global market.

said Nabil Manji, Head of Crypto and Emerging Business, Worldpay from FIS.

Moreover, Crypto.com would use Worldpay to process card-based purchases and sales of cryptocurrencies.

In detail, FIS is a provider of technology solutions for merchants, banks, and capital market firms globally. An experienced Card-to-Crypto processor, the firm oversees more than $2 trillion in transactions annually across more than 100 countries.

CRO Price Action

Crypto.com’s native token, CRO, saw its prices fall nearly 10% between intraday high($0.52) to low($0.47) levels on Feb 11. Although the token has registered an uptrend during its relief rally after the Jan 21 crash, the Crypto.com Coin has failed to consolidate above the $0.5 price level

CRO’s 100-Day Moving Average (yellow wave) provides immediate resistance near the $0.506 price level, indicating the Crypto.com token is currently bearish in the mid-term time range. If prices move and consolidate above immediate resistance, CRO would likely target the $0.550 resistance next.

A strong bullish rally could push CRO to $0.604, before prices to $0.604 before the uptrend breaks down.

Meanwhile, the relative strength index for the CRO token is currently neutral, clocking 55.24 on the daily charts. The RSI trendline has changed course to move down towards the oversold regions.

Conversely, Crypto.com has immediate support from its 26-day Exponential MA (white wave) near the $0.462 price level. CRO flipped the 26-day EMA into support on Feb 5. However, if CRO breaches below immediate support, prices would likely consolidate around $0.327.

Trend-based momentum oscillator MACD continues to forecast bullish signals for the CRO token.

However, bars on the MACD histogram, which charts the difference between the MACD line (difference of 12-day and 26-day EMA) and the MACD signal line (9-day EMA of MACD), are contracting, indicating that the bullishness of the momentum is decreasing.

A downward moving MACD line would take it below its signal line, forming a technical pattern called a bearish crossover.

At the time of writing, CRO was trading at $0.482, down 5.8% on the day.
