LAGOS (CoinChapter.com) — A pseudonym Redditor with username r/cryptocurrency has accused the US Central Intelligence Agency of having a hand in the sudden and controversial death of Nikolai Mushegian, the co-founder of MakerDAO.
The Redditor, in a post, implied that 29-year-old Mushegian, found dead in Puerto Rico, was murdered. The account alleged that Mushegian was killed because he was trying to expose a sex trafficking ring in Puerto Rico.
Recall that Mushegian was found dead on the beach behind Ashford Hospital in Condado, Puerto Rico. The late Balancer Labs co-founder was reported to have drowned while swimming. A report claimed that the currents dragged Mushegian and swept them away while swimming at Condado beach.
However, things developed an interesting twist as Mushegian had tweeted about his potential death at the hands of the CIA days before his alleged drowning. The 29-year-old claimed that the CIA and Israeli intelligence agency Mossad planned to kill him. He said:
