According to data by CoinGecko, the price of FLOKI was up over 93% at the time of writing. Additionally, the token touched an all-time high of $0.00004354 owing to Musk’s tweet.

What did Elon Musk do now?

In June, Dogefather Elon Musk had again created ripples in the altcoin industry. The TESLA CEO sent the price of Shiba Inu moving when he tweeted of his plans to get a Shiba Inu dog.

People perceived his tweet about getting a Shiba dog, indicating shifting his allegiance from Dogecoin (DOGE). 

Because Musk mentioned that he intends to name his dog Floki, several Shiba Inu dog-themed tokens called Floki appeared in the market.

Musk’s Floki arrives, prices soar

On September 13, the news various Floki-themed coin hoarders were waiting for arrived. Elon Musk announced his pet dog Floki was already with him.

“Floki has arrived,” Musk declared on Twitter.

Expecting the token to replicate Dogecoin’s (DOGE) mega run, anticipating fans rushed to buy FLOKI, sending the prices up over 93%.

Not only Floki Inu, but Super Floki (SLOKI) also had a hay day. The token performed even better, with the 24-hour trading volume up by 131% while writing. 

In contrast, Floki Shiba (FSHIB) gained a modest 11% in the past 24 hours, while Floki Shiba Inu’s (FLOKISHIB) price is up 5.0% in the last 24 hours.

DOGE, SHIB not invited to Elon Musk’s Floki party 

While the Floki-themed coins gained all the limelight, traditional Elon Musk beneficiaries were left watching from the sides. 

Despite slight early gains, the original meme-token Dogecoin (DOGE) could not capitalize on SpaceX founder’s latest tweet. 

At the time of writing, DOGE price is down -5.4% in the last 24 hours. According to the previous seven days’ data, DOGE prices have dipped -15%.

Unsurprisingly, the price of Baby DogeCoin (BABYDOGE) is also down almost 10% with the last 24 hours. 

Although named Floki, Musk’s new puppy is of the Shiba Inu breed. 

However, even Shiba Inu token SHIB did not benefit from the picture of the young Shiba pup. 

Although the graph shows signs that the token slightly gained during the day, it slowly fell again. Currently, SHIB price is down -6.4% in the last 24 hours.
