Elon Musk’s Grok AI ‘Inspired’ Coin Gets Listing on Bitget and MEXC Exchanges

YEREVAN (CoinChapter.com) — Grok AI, Elon Musk’s “witty” and “rebellious” version of ChatGPT, made a lot of noise on social media, including its parent platform X.com (same Twitter). Additionally, the obnoxiously funny AI idea ‘inspired’ crypto enthusiasts to create a multitude of GROK coins, none of which have anything to do with the platform, AI, or Musk himself.

But one of them flew higher than the rest.

GROK goes global – but what does ‘inspired’ mean?

One of those coins got much limelight and scored listings on crypto exchanges Bitget and MEXC. According to the announcement, Bitget commenced trading of GROK on Nov. 10 at 10 AM (UTC). The exchange claims the listing reflects its “commitment to embracing groundbreaking technologies.”

Gracy Chen, Managing Director of Bitget, took a quite poetic approach to GROK, noting that the listing was NOT just about “adding another asset to the platform.”

However, let’s not get teary-eyed. GROK is a memecoin and has nothing to do with “embracing innovation.” Experience shows that crypto traders will buy ANYTHING as long as it’s trending.

As mentioned, the coin has no relation to the xAI company and Elon Musk. Thus, investors should be aware of the coin’s origin before paring their cash with GROK.

According to Etherscan, the coin has just under 7,000 holders and a market cap of over $38.6 million. Moreover, after the listing, MEXC became the largest GROK holder, with 4.3% of the supply.

As of UTC 14:00, the GROK price stood at $0.0054 on Bitget.

Despite the coin’s lack of connection to Grok AI, let’s see when to expect the real Grok.
