Ripple is not as popular as Ethereum, but was released earlier in 2012. The company’s goal was to marry blockchain technology and fiat currency through the Ripple payment exchange network.
Cryptocurrency is understandably volatile, and Ripple is among many that experienced huge peaks and dips over the years. At one point between 2017 and 2018, Ripple became the second-largest crypto based on market capitalization, just behind Bitcoin. It lost its footing sometime after until the bullish crypto market in 2021 allowed Ripple to start gaining again.
For 2023, experts believe XRP will experience a low and high of around $0.48 to $0.52. But it’s worth noting that the point of Ripple is to create a channel for faster interbank transfers with minimal fees.
