At its best, the collection’s average bid had reached $6,000 in April.

Charlotte Fang Racist And Homophobic Comments

The NFT collection dropped across the board as Fang made racist and homophobic comments against Blacks, homosexuals, and Jews, using a Twitter pseudonym “Miya.”

The executive compared black people to apes and tags homosexuality as a sickness or disease. She also declared that anyone can save the country by murdering the Jews, among several damning proclamations.

Following the accusation and damning evidence, Fang has since admitted to being Miya. She also issued an apology, saying her utterances were merely a joke.

Fang further stated that Miya’s profile had nothing to do with the Milady Maker. Adding that she would be stepping aside from the helm of affairs of the NFT collection. She noted:

“Thought trying to distance myself would help but not gonna keep pussyfooting around it. Unequivocally. My real views hold no room for hate, and I detest abusers & groomers—trolling about it was juvenile, but in reality I’ve never harmed a fly.”

Crypto Community Reacts

Meanwhile, the crypto community has strongly condemned Fang’s actions. A Twitter user, @mewn21 criticized Fang’s actions, saying it was shameful. She said:

“This thread is shameful. discussing blackmailing young women, obvious preferences for women with body dysmorphia and talking points that resemble accusations against “miya”. like i said, broader milady community is fun. the core individuals are not.”

Other Twitter users condemned Fang’s action and described the project as a pervasive cult. Also, @zacdoteth noted that he no longer owns a Milady Maker NFT because of the negative ideas it represents.

“Best thing for Milady holders to do rn imo is to get as far away from this association and these people as possible. rather than trying to defend them in the name of fighting cancel culture. I hate cancel culture.”
