YEREVAN (CoinChapter.com) – BollyCoin, an Indian non-fungible token (NFT) platform, has concluded the first round of its Bollywood NFT auction. Salman Khan, one of the highest-paid actors in the industry, backs the project. The collection titled ‘Say Hello to The Villains – Chedi mein Ched’ included 19 unique digital collectibles and bagged a total of 23.19 ETH or $87,988 at the time of writing. 

Bollycoin had announced the launch of the NFT set from the Dabangg franchise on Dec 16. Produced by Bollywood actor and producer Arbaaz Khan and his brother Salman Khan, the 3-sequel film series grossed over $93 million in Box office revenue. 

Salman Khan gave a sneak-peak of the launch on Christmas Day.

The first Dabangg film also received several awards in major film award functions in India, including the National Film Award for the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment in 2010. 

“Thank you to everyone who participated in our first auction! The Say Hello to The Villains – Chedi mein Ched drop went as follows: 9 #BollyBitz NFTs sold for a total of 7.19 ETH 10 Dialogue & Sequence NFTs sold for a total of 16 ETH Total – 23.19 ETH,” 

BollyCoin announced following the 3-day auction. 

To make the Bollywood NFT drop a success, Bollycoin had partnered with NFTically, India’s popular global NFT marketplace creator.

BollyCoin plans on more NFTs from Dabangg

The successful initial launch of the Chedi mein Ched NFT set of the ‘Say Hello to the Villains‘ category is not the only launch BollyCoin has in store. Between Dec 30, 2021, to Feb 11, 2022, BollyCoin has planned to release 8 NFT sets from the Dabangg collection. 

From all three Dabbang films, BollyCoin will create only 200 NFTs. These will include 42 actual movie scenes from all three films. The other NFTs are in the form of art, signed posters, and other iconic media. 

“Those that purchase any of these 200 NFTs will instantly become part of The Green Room, which is our club for exclusive rewards. The first perk is that members get to digitally meet with Arbaaz Khan and get special access to the stories behind the franchise,”  

BollyCoin announced on its Discord server.

BollyCoin has also thrown in a Mutant Ape NFT to reward the holder of the most NFTs from our Chedi Mein Ched drops to spice things up. 

Additionally, the company also announced the #BeDabanggwithBollyCoin meme contest. The fan with the funniest meme from the movie scene stands a chance to win an exclusive digital collectible. BollyCoin will also mint their meme as an NFT. 

Bollywood NFT launch powered by BOLLY

BollyCoin has also launched its native cryptocurrency, the BOLLY, on decentralized exchanges Uniswap and CoinSwap. 

BollyCoin had also announced that some NFTs in the Chedi Mein Ched collection will accept BollyCoin (BOLLY) as a token for payment “to add utility to the token and give our community the option to use their BollyCoin.”

Since the launch concluded, BOLLY has seen positive movements of the chart. The token is up by more than 6% at the time of writing.

Intending to be India’s biggest NFT platform, BollyCoin plans to organize more NFT drops in the future.

“There will be further collections dropped in the future that are more inclusive but we’ve decided to launch with nothing but the best,”
