Kim Dotcom, the founder of now-defunct file hosting service Megaupload, has warned about an all-out nuclear war since the Ukraine-Russia conflict began.

In his latest post, the self-proclaimed ‘Internet freedom fighter‘ warned users that Russia had put its Strategic Nuclear Force (SNF) at the highest alert on May 4. “We are literally >one step away< from nuclear annihilation,” Dotcom claimed.

However, other Twitter users pointed out that the Russian government put SNF on its highest alert in Feb 2022 and again in the same month this year. Turns out, that may not be such an uncommon occurrence as Dotcom made it out to be.

Moreover, it isn’t the first time Dotcom has proclaimed the world is at risk. Outdoing the shepherd boy from Aesop’s fable, Dotcom has been a firm believer in every conspiracy theory under the sun.

For example, Kim Dotcom shared a post from Robert F. Kennedy Jr, a proud promoter of anti-vaccine beliefs, regarding the US placing the nuclear-capable Aegis missile system along the Ukraine-Russia border.

However, the claims were quickly denounced by the netizens. Dotcom also stated that the war in Ukraine was created by the US. The 49 years old entrepreneur also believes in the existence of a US deep state and a cabal of industrialists and politicians controlling the world.

Who Is Kim Dotcom?

Kim Dotcom was born Kim Schmitz in 1974 in what was then West Germany. Dotcom gained fame in the 90s as a hacker. He got arrested in 1994 for trafficking stolen data and was deported to Germany for embezzlement charges in 2003.

The serial conspiracy theorist’s file upload site, Megaupload, was shut down by the US government for piracy, racketeering, and wire fraud in 2012. Dotcom then resided in New Zealand and has since been fighting a legal battle to stop his extradition to the US.

Interestingly, the conspiracy buff launched a political party called the Internet Party in New Zealand. The party died after two elections, winning not a single seat and getting nearly 0% votes in its second one.
