Telegram Mini-App Creators Can Now Make Toncoin with Adsgram

YEREVAN (CoinChapter.com) — The TON Community has launched Adsgram, enabling developers to connect their mini-apps or bots to an advertising system and earn Toncoin by displaying ads. This platform is different from the Telegram Ads platform, which was aimed at channel owners.

Adsgram offers various ad formats, including 15-second video ads, static banners, and an upcoming feature for channel subscriptions. The system supports basic ad payment models such as cost per thousand impressions (CPM) and tracks metrics like click-through rates, conversions, and fill rates. Developers can earn up to $16 CPM in Toncoin.

Traffic and Engagement

As of May 2024, Adsgram’s network had up to 8 million impressions per day. Mini-apps like Gamee and Fonton Fantasy Football are part of this network. Most traffic comes from countries like Nigeria, Bangladesh, and Germany.

Advertisers on Adsgram include several tier-1 exchanges, TON-based games, and various services. The platform offers CPMs ranging from 0.5 TON ($3.8) to 2 TON ($16), depending on the audience.

Boosting the GameFi Sector

Vadim Sterlin, Adsgram co-founder, emphasized the platform’s potential in the GameFi sector.

“As a founder of a major game in the Telegram ecosystem — Fantongamebot — I faced a big challenge monetizing our game,”

Sterlin shared on the Adsgram channel in February. Previously, publishers had limited options to earn money from advertising, relying mostly on direct ad sales.

Rapid Growth and Future Prospects

Adsgram received a $50,000 grant from the TON Foundation to create its minimum viable product.

By early April, the platform had launched its first ads through an alpha test with Sterlin-founded game Fanton Fantasy Football, or Fantongamebot.

The launch of Adsgram coincides with increased activity within the TON ecosystem. The total value locked in various TON projects has grown by at least 4,500% in 2024. Toncoin, the native cryptocurrency of TON, peaked at $8.17 on June 14, according to CoinGecko data.
