Tron’s Sunpump has created over 51,701 memecoins, according to the data from Dune Analytics. The platform’s success extends beyond mere token creation, with a good performance across several key metrics.
Sunpump has recorded a total swap volume of $259.2 million, indicating substantial liquidity and trading activity. With 100,746 active swappers, the platform has also facilitated over 1.4 million swap events. Additionally, the platform has also generated $2.6 million in fees.
Sunpump Outpaces Solana’s Pumpfun in Early Growth
Sunpump’s entry into the market has seen it achieve significant milestones at a faster rate than its competitors. Within just a few weeks of launch, Sunpump has created over 50,000 tokens, whereas Solana’s Pumpfun saw slower token creation in its initial phase, with gradual growth over time.
User activity tells a similar story. Sunpump quickly amassed over 100,000 active swappers and facilitated more than 1.4 million swap events. Pumpfun, on the other hand, saw steady growth in active users, reaching its peak several months post-launch.
Sunpump Tokens Reach Multimillion-Dollar Valuations
The platform’s rapid ascent was evident as early as August 22, when blockchain researcher Adam reported that Sunpump had outperformed Pumpfun in daily activity and revenue. On that day, Sunpump saw 7,351 new tokens launched and generated $585,000 in revenue, compared to Pumpfun’s 6,701 new tokens and $366,000 in revenue.
This surge in activity came just 12 days after Sunpump’s launch on August 9. By that time, Tron’s Sunpump had already generated over $1.5 million in revenue and facilitated the launch of more than 25,000 new memecoins. Several tokens launched on Sunpump have seen significant success, with one trader briefly turning $1,000 into as much as $750,000 on a token called SunWukong (SUNWUKONG). Another memecoin, SunDog (SUNDOG), rallied to a valuation as high as $270 million.
