Who Bombed The Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza? Israel and Hamas Trade Blames

YEREVAN (CoinChapter.com) — A devastating explosion at Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City has resulted in the loss of hundreds of lives.

According to reports, several people were seeking shelter at the hospital when the blast occurred, caused by an airstrike. Now Israel and Palestinian authorities are blaming each other for the incident.

Hamas, the governing authority in Gaza, attributed the explosion to an Israeli rocket fired at the medical facility.

Conversely, Israeli officials argued that one of the rockets fired by Palestinian militants at Israel had malfunctioned shortly after launch. This reported glitch had caused the rocket to go off-target, hitting the hospital on its turf instead.

Who is Lying: Israel or Hamas?

While the sides continue to thread allegations, the global media is calling this one of the deadliest incidents since the escalation of the ongoing conflict

Talking about the blast, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cleared his country’s armed soldiers of the attack.

“The entire world should know: It was barbaric terrorists in Gaza that attacked the hospital in Gaza and not the IDF [Israel Defense Forces]. Those who brutally murdered our children also murder their own children,”

he said.

IDF Spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari also put out a statement blaming Hamas for the blast.

The Israeli Defense Forces has blamed Hamas for the attack on the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City.

Speaking on Benjamin Netanyahu’s statement that Islamic Jihad is responsible for the Gaza hospital attack, Palestinian Ambassador to the UN, Riyad Mansour, called the Israeli Prime Minister a liar.

“He is a liar. His digital spokesperson tweeted that Israel did the hit thinking that there was a base for Hamas around this hospital, and then he deleted that tweet. We have a copy of that tweet. Now they changed the story to try to blame the Palestinians,”

he said

He further pointed out that the Israeli spokesperson of the Army had earlier made a statement calling for the evacuation of hospitals. This, according to him, indicates that the IDF had planned the attack.

Israeli officials initially admitted that the rocket came from Israel.

Ambassador Riyad Mansour was referring to the above-deleted tweet by Hananya Naftali. The Israeli spokesperson had initially claimed his country targeted the hospital because it housed a “Hamas terrorist base.”

Meanwhile, as the war continues amid the increasing death toll, US President Joe Biden has arrived in Israel. He is there to show his country’s support for its ally and will discuss pertinent issues with Benjamin Netanyahu.
