Will Teletubbies Be The Next To Join Bitcoin?

Long Beach (CoinChapter): The Teletubbies are hinting that its characters could be the next to join the cryptocurrency space. The show, which has been on the air since 1997, posted an interesting message to its official Twitter page.

The post said, “Eh-Oh…what could the Teletubbies be possibly hiding from us? Stay tuned for something BIG this week.” This was followed by the rocketship emoji and a Bitcoin hashtag. Additionally two of its characters, Tinky Winky and Po, appear next to a question mark with laser eyes.

Adding laser eyes to pictures has become relatively popular amongst prominent members of the crypto world. It is viewed as a symbol of adoption and general bullish sentiment.

The biggest question regarding this tweet is the normal demographic for the British television show. Teletubbies’ target audience is aged one to four, obviously far younger than the average crypto enthusiast. While there are some young crypto participants, it is hard to imagine that age range being a target.

To that point however, last month a three-year old viral in the crypto world with her video. In it, young Lily Knight explained the limited supply of Bitcoin using Skittles candy. Additionally, Elon Musk has made it known that his 10-month-old son is a Dogecoin HODLer.

Next Teletubbies airing scheduled for April Fool’s Day: April 1st

It is worth noting however, that the next episode of the show will be airing on April 1, aka April Fool’s Day. Some Twitter users have already picked up on that and begun making jokes. Some have made new name suggestions such as ‘DIPsy’ ‘Tether-Winky’ while others suggested replacing the Sun Baby with the Moon Baby.

It is unclear whether their intention is to trick the followers and viewers or whether this is real. They could legitimately be considering educating young children about cryptocurrency, or they could prank viewers with the release of a fake coin of NFT. Anything is possible.
