WWE To Launch Undertaker NFTs Ahead Of Wrestlemania Weekend

Long Beach (CoinChapter): World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) are in the midst of their biggest week of the year. With Wrestlemania coming up this weekend, the company has now decided to jump in the NFT marketplace.

WWE announced it will be creating its first ever NFTs, showcasing iconic moments from the career of legendary wrestler The Undertaker. The drop will take place on WWE.com/NFT, starting on Saturday, April 10 at 10:30 am ET, and ending on Sunday, April 11 at 11:30 pm ET.

WWE President & Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan spoke on the announcement. “WWE’s first-ever NFT collection presents an opportunity to own a digital piece of history featuring The Undertaker, one of the most iconic Superstars in sports entertainment,” Khan said. “This will also allow WWE to deepen our connection with the WWE Universe during our biggest event, WrestleMania.”

The WWE NFT will be done in a four-tier drop

The NFTs will be done in a four-tier drop: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The opening bid for the platinum tier drop will be $10,000. The highest bidder will receive a “one-of-a-kind NFT” featuring The Undertaker. Additionally, they’ll receive two front-row tickets to WrestleMania in 2022 or 2023, with VIP access and hotel accommodations.

Furthermore, they’ll receive a personalized video message and an original Paul Bearer urn signed by The Undertaker.

The Gold NFT starts at $5,000 and is similar to the Platinum drop save for a couple of differences. Instead of Wrestlemania tickets, the winner will receive two tickets to either Raw or Smackdown in 2021 or 2022. They will also receive a signed “Undertaker Legacy Championship Title Belt” instead of the urn.

Silver drops will receive the limited edition Undertaker NFT and a pair of signed side plates for a WWE Championship Title Belt. They will not receive a belt itself however, and these start at $1,000. Lastly, two “Bronze” tokens will be on sale for just 15 minutes each, at a fixed price of $100. Their contents are unclear, except that both are “unique NFTs.”
