Consensys Report: Crypto Payments and Web3 Workforce Preferences

The Consensys report also highlights a trend in the Web3 workforce’s payment preferences. The survey found that while 67% of Web3 professionals are currently paid in fiat currency, a growing number prefer to receive some or all of their salary in cryptocurrency. In fact, 51% of respondents said they would prefer a mix of crypto payments and fiat, while only 13% expressed comfort with receiving their full salary in cryptocurrency.

This growing interest in crypto payments reflects the wider adoption of cryptocurrency within the blockchain workforce. However, most workers still prefer the stability that fiat payments provide.

This naturally aligns with the decentralized nature of blockchain technology, which enables workers to operate from anywhere in the world.
