Sunny Leone enters the NFT race

Following the announcement of Amitabh Bachchan NFTs, Bollywood fans did not have to wait for long to see how popular the concept had become in India.

A former international pornstar of Indian origin, Sunny Leone first became a hit in adult films before taking her fame to the Indian cinema. Named Karenjit Kaur Vohra after birth, the Indo-Canadian star made her Bollywood debut in 2012. She soon became a star in her native country’s film industry thereafter.

The former porn star is now racing against her industry senior to launch the first NFT collection in Bollywood. Leone has created a separate website for her NFTs and she is partnering with Mintdropz, a Silicon Valley-based startup to launch them.

“I really believe crypto is the future of the world and NFTs give me an opportunity to express myself with art and be able to essentially make each NFT its own unique token which is really exciting. Each one of my NFTs will be 100 percent unique from one another and will have different levels of rarity,” she said.

Built on the Polygon Network, Colexion offers a wide range of digital collectibles to fans from various fields.

With only 20 days left for Amitabh Bachchan’s NFT launch, the race is still on. Sunny Leone has already declared that her collection is ready and will be the first to hit the market.

However, neither she nor her team has declared an exact launch date. Amitabh Bachchan, on the other hand, will allow bidding on his collection on November 3.

Whether or not Sunny Leone will become the first Bollywood star to launch her digital collection is still unknown. However, if her overconfidence proves to be ungrounded, she will almost certainly be the first female Bollywood star with an NFT. Only time will tell.
