Morgan, a partner at BreakingNFTnews, shared the news on Twitter. According to the post, MoonPay, a financial technology company that builds payments infrastructure for crypto, facilitated the purchase.

Kevin Hart & MoonPay confirm the Bored Ape Yacht Club Purchase
Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) is one of the most prestigious and popular NFT projects. Since shooting into fame, the Yuga Labs creation has attracted several celebrities from different industries.
Through this purchase, Kevin Hart joins the list of famous people who have aped into the BAYC NFTs. NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal (Shaq), Billionaire and investor Mark Cuban, Hollywood actress Paris Hilton, Motivation Speaker, entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk, rap singer Eminem, comedian, and TV host Jimmy Fallon are some of the big names that have joined the Ape Club.
MoonPay CEO Ivan Wright confirmed the news on his Instagram story. In the picture he posted, one can see Wright talking to Hart who proudly displays his newly-acquired BAYC #9258.

Kevin Hart’s NFT sports some rare traits, including a spinner-hat. The comedian also confirmed his purchase by retweeting the news shared by WatcherGuru.

Is Madonna joining the Bored Ape Yacht Club next?
Kevin Hart may not be the last celebrity BAYC collector. According to a Twitter thread, famous singer-songwriter and actress Madonna may be joining the club soon.
Photographer and Creative Director Lindsey Byrnes posted a picture of her Bored Ape Yach Club NFT, informing the mega-star that she has saved it for her.
To everyone’s excitement, Madonna responded, enquiring about what she should do next.
“I’m glad you saved it for me. Ape well chosen. Now what?”
she asked.
According to OpenSea, Lindsey Byrnes has listed the ape in question, BAYC #3756 for a whopping 1000 ETH. In fiat currency terms, that amounts to around $2.1 million.
It is too early to speculate if Madonna will jump on the BAYC bandwagon. However, should that happen, Bored Ape Yacht Club will add another feather to its cap.
