YEREVAN (CoinChapter.com) — Big Eyes Coin (BIG), the latest meme coin to appear in the ocean of cryptocurrencies, is making headlines. The new token is the latest addition to the pool of ambitious Shiba Inu (SHIB) killers.

Like the CateCoin (CATE), BIG is also tailored around the image of cats. The cat-themed token also wants to make big inroads into the nonfungible token (NFT) industry.

However, like is the case with most newcomers, some members of the community suspect Big Eyes Coin of being a scam.

The token is currently in the second stage of its presale, with 90% of the tokens available at launch.

What plans does Big Eyes Coin have?

The Big Eyes Coin (BIG) project has published a whitepaper to reveal its ambitious plans.

According to the company, the project comes with a charity component. Part of its plans includes donating 5% of Tokens for saving the oceans.

The donations to charities will go in four stages. Big Eyes Coin will donate $1 million to ocean-saving charities in the fourth and final stage.

The project also hopes to revolutionize the NFT market through a special drop. The first collection will see Big Eyes (the name of the cute cat) take to the sea.

According to the white paper, holding a Big Eyes NFT will also give the community access to special events.

“Big Eyes wants to give more by building a blockchain ecosystem that self-propagates for Hyper growth using NFTs to offer access to more content and events that make the blockchain hypeship well worth boarding,”

 the team said.

Big Eyes Coin raises over $2.6 million in presale

According to the project’s official website, the Big Eyes Coin has already raised over $2.6 million during the second phase of its presale.

Two days back, the project tweeted that it had crossed the $2 million milestone. However, that number has now increased significantly.

In the first week alone, the token had already raised $1 million through BIG token sales.

The project’s roadmap includes some other big plans with days to go before the presale ends. Over time, provided the token is not a scam, the team hopes to launch BIG on Uniswap and other crypto exchanges.

In addition, the team will also launch a special shop dubbed the “Supurrr-store” for token holders. The Merch store will launch during stage two of the project.

However, as stated above, the community suspects the token is a scam. To be fair, the person who called the project a scam can be accused of having a vested interest.

Carl Dawkins, the Head of Growth at another meme token project TamaDoge, alleged Big Eyes Coin is a scam. However, the project developers called his bluff on Twitter, sarcastically asking him not to mistake them for his project.

Meanwhile, as CoinChapter earlier, Solidity Finance responded to CoinChapter’s request for clarification on the Big Eyes Crypto audit. It noted that the project’s contract for the presale “does not match the code that we reviewed for the audit.”

So is Big Eyes Coin (BIG) a scam or a legit Shiba Inu killer? Time will tell.
