YEREVAN (CoinChapter.com)- Famous American media personality, businesswoman, model, singer, and actress Paris Hilton just gave out free NFTs. Appearing on the popular television program The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Hilton surprised the audience by announcing each of them will get a free digital collectible from her upcoming NFT project. Hilton is a big name in the NFT space and holds a BAYC NFT in her collection.

MoonPay, a financial technology company that builds payments infrastructure for crypto, facilitated the purchase. The company shared a hint of Hilton’s appearance on their Twitter handle.

“Ape #1294 is known to enjoy ‘The Simple Life’ even though they are appearing on prime time TV ‘tonight’. Who could it be?”

they wrote,

Last year Hilton joined the Origin protocol as an investor and advisor. While on set with Fallon, she spoke about the release of an NFT collection on the protocol soon. For the upcoming drop, Hilton and Origin have partnered with Super Plastic, a global entertainment brand that creates and manages animated celebrities who have millions of dedicated followers on social media.

The company recently forged a partnership with Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) to release BAYC toys

After revealing the collection “Forever Fairytale,” on the show, she promised the first NFT in the drop to Fallon. Then, to everyone’s excitement, she revealed each member of the audience will get one as well.

Hilton has become one of the best-known celebrities in the NFT space. Fortune magazine recently ranked her No 7 in the Top 50 most influential builders, creatives, and influencers on NFT the scene.

Hilton gets Jimmy Fallon to buy a BAYC NFT

In her previous appearance on the show in August last year, Hilton had briefed Fallon about NFTs. She also encouraged him to take a plunge into the world of nonfungible tokens. Back then, Fallon seemed everything but convinced about the idea.

However, it appears he has done his homework. During the show earlier today, Fallon revealed to Hilton that since the last time they met, he has aped into the Bored Ape Yacht Club with a BAYC NFT.

“You taught me what they (NFTs) are and then I bought an ape,

Fallon said.

Interestingly, while Hilton inspired Falon to jump into NFTs, he, in turn, influenced Paris to buy a Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT. During an interview with prominent NFT artist Beeple last November, Fallon revealed that he had joined the Ape Family.

The celebrity host acquired BAYC #599 for 46.6 ETH, around $224,000 at the time. His ape features ‘heart glasses’ and a ‘sea captain’ cap.

“I got an ape too because I saw you on the show with Beeple. You said you got it on MoonPay, so I went and I copied you and did the same thing,”

 Hilton said.

Her Ape #1294 sports sunglasses and a hat and reminded Hilton of herself, according to her.

In April last year, Hilton’s “Iconic Crypto Queen” NFT fetched $1.1 million. She has since made a foray into the Metaverse and has become one of the most outspoken ambassadors of the new technology.
