YEREVAN (CoinChapter.com) — Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev believes Ukraine will disappear. In a lengthy Twitter post, the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council argued that no one needs Ukraine. The United States, the post argues, uses the “Nazi regime” in Kyiv against Russia. Beyond that, the world has no use for that “wrong country.”

Medvedev served as the country’s Prime Minister between May 2012 and 16 January 2020. He is among the closest allies of incumbent President Vladimir Putin, helping him consolidate power in Russia by serving in various posts. Experts often interpret his remarks as the official stance of the Kremlin.

Europe does not need Ukraine

According to Ukraine, the only reason the European Union and other European countries support Ukraine in the war is the American Pressure. Washington has forced these nations to rally behind Kyiv against Russia for its vested interest. That, in turn, has harmed their economies, often putting their citizens at risk.

“The forced support of the Nazi regime, at the behest of the American mentor, put the Europeans in an economic and political hell,”

Medvedev argues.

According to a high-ranking Russian official, the war in Ukraine will lead to the “final downfall of Europe.”

Medvedev’s sentiments are not out of place. Last November, several European officials accused the United States of profiting from the war in Ukraine. Many had questioned why their economies should suffer while Washington makes millions under the garb of supporting Kyiv.

Last week, French President Emmanuel Macron visited China. On his way back from Beijing, he argued that Europe should resist the pressure from Washington to engage in harmful wars blindly.

Europe is growing increasingly suspicious of US Pressure

Talking about the possible war over Taiwan in particular, Macron argued that Europe should not blindly cheer for American foreign policy.

“The paradox would be that, overcome with panic, we believe we are just America’s followers. The question Europeans need to answer … is it in our interest to accelerate [a crisis] on Taiwan? No. The worse thing would be to think that we Europeans must become followers on this topic and take our cue from the US,”

POLITICO quoted the French President saying.

Dmitry Medvedev is not wrong. European unity has started showing some major cracks.

The US does not need Ukraine

While Medvedev blamed the United States for the ongoing war, he argues that an average US citizen does not need Ukraine either. According to him, most Americans cannot point out the location of Ukraine on the map, nor does he or she understand much about the country.

Calling the Biden Administration “political sycophants,” the former Russian President argues that Washington is using the military campaigns and sanctions “for public relations purposes.”

Instead, he called on the US Government to solve problems at home instead of spending the US taxpayer’s money on Ukraine.

“Why won’t the US establishment focus on inflation and labor issues, or emergencies in their homelands, instead of a “404 country” (s.a. “wrong country”), unbeknownst to them? Why is so much money going across the ocean? ”

Medvedev said.

Again, the Russian politician is not entirely wrong. Several surveys now reveal that the American public is growing increasingly fed up with the US Support for Ukraine. Amid the economic crisis, the Biden Administration has committed more than $31.7 billion in security assistance since the start of the 2022 war.

Last week, the US Department of Defense announced an additional $2.6 billion in military aid to Ukraine.

Is the US against Ukraine joining NATO?

In a major twist, the United States is now opposed to granting Ukraine a clear roadmap to NATO membership.

In 2008, Washington pressured other North Atlantic Treaty Organization members to grant Ukraine a Membership Action Plan. France and Germany were the main opposers, the Financial Times reported.

The United States is against providing Ukraine with a clear roadmap for NATO membership

After Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, Ukraine, Finland, and Sweden applied for NATO membership. Earlier this month, the two countries became members of the defense alliance, but Ukraine’s bid is yet to be accepted.

Kyiv’s principal ally, its biggest supporter of NATO membership, has abandoned it.

Africa and Latin America do not need Ukraine

According to Medvedev, the United States could use the billions it has spent on “pointless fighting in Ukraine” to benefit African and Latin American states. Instead of financing developmental projects in these nations, Washington has chosen to waste its resources in the war in Europe.

The former Russian President further claimed that the US and the West have an obligation toward the African nations. The countries were engaged in the slave trade from the continent, for which they had not yet compensated the people of Africa.

“That is why the people of the African huts and the favelas of Latin America ask a very reasonable question: for their past suffering and their present faith, why is anyone else being rewarded – far, far away?

Asia does not need Ukraine

Referring to Asia, Dmitry Medvedev argued that the United States uses “color” revolutions to destabilize Governments it believes are competing globally. The top Russian politician believes that the Asian nations know that if Russia falls, the West will target them next. Hence they have not joined the anti-Russian alliance.

China and India, both economic giants in the continent, have continued to trade with Moscow. Citing this fact, Vladimir Putin’s ally argues that New Delhi and Beijing have shown that they no longer care about Western hegemony.

“They understand what scenario the American-led collective West has in store for them if they disobey. Help us overcome Russia and we will soon come to you,” the utterly brazen Western leaders tell them,”

Medvedev writes.

He further argues that Russia is geopolitically closer to Asia. Moreover, it has historically proven to be a reliable strategic partner. Hence, Asia will not trade its alliance with Moscow for “a headache from former colonialists.”

Russia does not need Ukraine

Any Russian argument about why the world does not need Ukraine would be incomplete without mentioning why Russia does not need the country.

Claiming that its European adversary came into existence from “artificially carved out lands” from Russia, Medvedev argued that Moscow does not need it and will defend its compatriots from the “Nazi regime in Kyiv.”

“We defend them with our special military operation, ruthlessly exterminating the enemy. We don’t need sub-Ukraine, we need Big Great Russia,”

 he writes.

The Kremlin has long maintained that Ukraine should never have received independence and that the country is nothing but stolen Russian land.

Finally, its citizens do not need Nazi Ukraine

Bringing his long argument to a close, Medvedev claims that Ukraine’s people benefit most if the country stops existing.

As per his reasoning, the “ruling junta” in Kyiv (referring to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his officials) have made billions by depositing funds coming from the US in offshore accounts. Meanwhile, the people living in Ukraine are left to fend for themselves under harsh conditions.

“The criminal ambitions of the ruling junta forced Ukrainians to beg and wander across countries and continents in search of a better life. All this for a dark European perspective… Would ordinary Ukrainians need this?”

he asks

According to Medvedev, as many as 25 million people have left the country thanks to the “thieving Nazi clowns” sitting in Kyiv. That is over 50% of the population of Ukraine.

“Nobody on this planet needs such a Ukraine. That’s why it will disappear,” Medvedev says, ending his argument.
